Celebrating World Environment Day: Together for a Greener Future

On the occasion of World Environment Day, Mantras Foundation successfully organized the Environment Round Table & Symposium 3.0 at the National Library, Kolkata, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and the National Library of India. The special discussion series and exhibition brought together corporate leaders, academicians, environmental enthusiasts, and change-makers to reflect on some of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time. The event was centred around the theme “Man-Made Disasters: The Price of Neglect, The Call for Action,” highlighting the need for greater awareness, responsibility, and collective action towards environmental protection. Meaningful discussions were held on sustainability, environmental conservation, and the role of individuals and institutions in building a greener future. The programme was further enriched by the presence of Prof. Ajay Pratap Singh, Director General of the National Library, along with several distinguished guests, eminent academicians, corporate leaders, and environmental advocates. Their participation and valuable insights added great significance to the occasion and strengthened the collective commitment towards sustainability. Special stalls were also arranged to showcase eco-friendly products and sustainable solutions, encouraging participants to explore practical ways of contributing to environmental conservation. The event concluded with a shared pledge by the dignitaries and participants to become a part of the Green Movement and work collectively towards protecting the environment. As a continuation of this initiative, future activities including plantation drives, talk shows, quizzes, and environmental awareness sessions have also been envisioned to further promote sustainability and inspire collective climate action.
